The CEWQO conference series started in early 1990s in Central Europe and gradually transformed into one of most popular annual meetings of European scientists interested in foundations and applications of quantum optics. Quantum optics gave birth to quantum information and continues to be the driving force to design innovative theoretical and experimental approaches. The aim of this edition of CEWQO is to discuss new topics and provide inspiration going beyond quantum technology.

We are proud to be hosting the next Quantum Computing Theory in Practice (QCTIP) conference at Jesus College in Cambridge on 17-19 April 2023.

The conference will take place over 3 days, and together with our keynote speakers, poster sessions and invited talks, we will take stock of the newest developments in the field and map out the future of quantum computing. More details and further updates can be found at https://registration.qctip.com/qctip-2023

Ultracold atoms have in the past two decades become one of the most active and exciting research areas in physics. Cold atomic systems are low energy, pure and highly configurable and therefore allow to create setups in which new and advanced quantum mechanical effects can be studied and engineered. In fact, cold atomic systems are not only at the forefront for discovering fundamental new physics, they are also at the frontier in the development of advanced quantum technologies, such as quantum simulators or quantum metrology devices.
