A number of Chancellor’s Fellowships are available at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, UK. These are 5-year positions, at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, which come with the perspective of an open-ended academic appointment (“tenure”). The positions are directed to “bold, ambitious and innovative future research leaders”.

JQI Experimental Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to work in close collaboration with one or more JQI Fellows. The successful applicant has the freedom to choose from a variety of research areas. Quantum information science utilizes many different experimental platforms. At JQI, researchers can specialize in areas such as degenerate gases, quantum information with trapped ions, quantum optics, and superconducting qubits. Applicants are encouraged to explore the JQI website and to contact JQI Fellows to inquire about current research interests.

Cooperative Behaviour at the Quantum Light-Matter Interface

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral researcher to work at the interface of cold atoms and quantum optics. This is a prestigious two-year fellowship to study collective strong coupling of light and matter in an optical ring resonator.

The experiment aims to:
• Demonstrate collective strong coupling of potassium atoms in a high-finesse cavity
• Examine the cooperative mechanics of cold atoms in dynamical optical lattices

Here comes another round of attractive opportunities from the University of Nottingham: This is your chance to get a two-year PostDoctoral Fellowship (with flexible conditions, research expenses and support for childcare) to join the dynamic and young Quantum Information group in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham (Dr G. Adesso, Dr I. Fuentes, Dr M. Guta).
