Talk:Bloch sphere

This article is identical to the one in Wikipedia Bloch Sphere. I should know, since I wrote most of it in WP Page History. This is perfectly legit EXCEPT that I think the article should say in the bottom that the content is originally from WP!!! CSTAR --CSTAR 00:26, 9 Oct 2005 (BST)

PS To be honest, I'm not sure what the status of GFDL concerning attribution is, but I think some statement somewhere (even on the talk page) about the origin of the page is sensible (and also common courtesy).--CSTAR 00:45, 9 Oct 2005 (BST)

I agree that there should be a statement on of the origin, sorry that we had not put it here (I've added it now though). The relationship between Wikipedia and Quantiki is an important issue and I'm not sure which is the best strategy here. On one hand, it doesn't quite make sense to have everything twice, on the other hand the level of detail will be higher in Quantiki. Also, Quantiki offers some nice features adopted to the Quantum Information people that Wikipedia does not have (i.e. support for quasm-Circuits Help:Editing). --Burgarth 13:31, 9 Oct 2005 (BST)

Thanks. One disadvantage of Wikipedia is having to deal with cranks. This at times is a real pain.--CSTAR 16:46, 9 Oct 2005 (BST)

BTW, at the risk of exposing my utter incompetence at trigonometry, shouldn't the θ in the picture be a 2 θ? The picture I drew on WP has a 2 θ. If indeed I am right, you can use that one. --CSTAR 18:04, 9 Oct 2005 (BST)

PS after all z = cos2θ, so unless my mind or my eyes are playing tricks on me, in should be 2 θ.--CSTAR 00:52, 10 Oct 2005 (BST)
