algorithms
hi, sorry i created those extra algorithm pages - i didn't see the existing ones. (because they were not linked from http://cam.qubit.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Handbook_of_Quantum_Information)
if it is okay, i will link the existing versions to this page via a redirect. I think it is better to title Grover's algorthm as "search algorythm" (because everyone knows what search is, but only experts know what is Grover's algorthm). Thanks for the advice, and over the next week or two, people will probably need lots of help as we get used to editing.
Also, i think it is good to keep case consistent. So perhaps, keep the first letter of the first word uppercase, but the rest lowercase.
have put some stuff here: http://cam.qubit.org/wiki/index.php/Category_talk:Handbook_of_Quantum_Information and feel free to add. cheers, j
case
Hi, i have made the default convention for case, to be upper case only on the first letter of the phrase. the only exception are big titles, such as Handbook of Quantum Information. But i think, it should be Quantum information theory, not Quantum Information Theory. This makes it much easier as well when linking within wiki's, because wikipedia is automatically case insensitive for the first letter, and thus one can use "quantum information theory" in a sentence. case
yes. my view is that we could potentially solve it by using a convention, and the one which makes sense is that we capitalize only the first letter. Of course, it remains to be seen whether others will stick to this convention....
hey jarek, did you move the quantum channel capacity category because you don't think we should have a quantum communication section? perhaps we can make quantum communication as a sub category of quantum information? and list both categories. Jono 13:53, 12 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Btw, how do you revert someones changes? I usually go to the history, click on an older version, click on edit, and then save it - but there is a nicer way, right? Cheers Burgarth 09:47, 21 Dec 2005 (GMT)
