The School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds has a doctoral training grant available for UK and EU students. These prestigious awards are made by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Awards are available in the area of Optical and Quantum Optical Communications.

WOMEN IN SCIENCE: This is your chance to get a two-years PostDoctoral Fellowship (with flexible conditions, research expenses and support for childcare) to join the dynamic and young Quantum Stochastics & Information group at the University of Nottingham (Dr G. Adesso, Dr I. Fuentes, Dr M. Guta).

Quantiki needs your contribution and is going to appreciate it! If you feel you can provide a significant input for our Wiki project, i.e. create a new, fascinating article or expand an existing one to make it more comprehensive and educational, this is the best moment to do so. Your knowledge will certainly increase the satisfaction of our visitors and contributing to our project will definitely bring you immense satisfaction and eternal gratitude of quantum community ;)

Telcordia Technologies is a leading global provider of telecommunications software and services for IP, wireline, wireless, and cable networks. The company delivers flexible, standards-based solutions that optimize complex network and business support systems, enabling customers to manage, transform and grow their businesses.

The entanglement of quantum objects can take surprising forms. Quantum physicists at the University of Innsbruck have investigated several flavors of entanglement in four trapped ions and report their results in the journal Nature Physics. Their study promotes further developments towards quantum computing and a deeper understanding of the foundations of quantum mechanics.<!--eec6d63ab9254743b4cb276771aa8eaa-->

New methods of understanding complexity and algorithm design rely heavily on abstract methods whose connection with underlying physical systems remain, in many cases, woefully under-illustrated. This workshop brings together physicists, computer scientists, and mathematicians to explore the connection between quantum information science, quantum complexity, and potential physical implementations.
