The ONNA 2013 workshop will be held at OIST Graduate University (http://www.oist.jp) from 1-7th June 2013. The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts and early stage researchers, from diverse communities, who use optical micro and nanofibers or waveguides for their research needs, whether it be for quantum, biological or other applications. The number of participants is limited and will be based on application. Full financial support (air ticket, accommodation at Seaside House, OIST and meals) available.

The Canadian Quantum Information Students' Conference (CQISC) is the annual conference in the field of Quantum Information Sciences run by and for students across Canada and around the world. The conference is open to students of various backgrounds including, but not limited to, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry and engineering. The conference is held over the five days following the Annual Canadian Summer School on Quantum Information. All participants are encouraged to present a 20 minutes talk or contribute a poster on their research area.
The Canadian Summer School on Quantum Information is now in its 13th year and is proud to bring together students from Canada and other countries to learn about quantum information science. Past schools have been held in Toronto, Montréal, Sherbrooke, Waterloo, Vancouver and Calgary. This annual summer school series focuses on educating select early-stage graduate students in a stimulating environment of lectures by world-leading researchers covering leading aspects of quantum information.
