Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions at the Centre for Quantum Computer Science, University of Latvia (https://www.quantum.lu.lv), lead by prof. Andris Ambainis. The Centre is among the strongest European research groups in quantum algorithms and currently consists of 18 researchers (including postdocs and graduate students).

Fully funded PhD studentship, for UK students, is available at the Univerity of York, to work on space quantum communications based on continuous variables. Please see the link https://www.findaphd.com/phds/project/quantum-communications-from-space/... for more information.

PhD and Postdoc positions are available in the Research Group "Quantum Information and Quantum Many-Body Physics", led by Norbert Schuch, at the University of Vienna.

Topics of interest cover the whole range from quantum information and computation to quantum many-body physics, with a focus on tensor networks and related methods.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Postdoctoral researcher to join the Department of Surface and Plasma Science at the MFF UK. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work in the field of atomic, molecular and optical physics, where you will use your expertise in the confinement of charged particles, specifically electrons, in radio frequency traps and laser-cooling to design and commission a state-of-the-art Paul trap operating at several GHz.

The junior research group of Dr. Ondřej Černotík at Palacký University Olomouc invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position. The successful candidate will develop new, highly efficient control techniques for manipulating bosonic qubit states in microwave cavity memories. The planned work will use a combination of analytical and numerical methods and be performed in close collaboration with the broader team of Prof. Radim Filip at Palacký University and the group of Prof. Steven Girvin at Yale University.

The Department of Physics at the University at Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in theoretical condensed matter physics/material science at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

If you want to apply visit: http://quantmath.pl/job-offers/ We search for highly motivated and talented candidates interested in research in the domain of mathematical aspects of quantum computing and quantum information. Candidates with previous experience in quantum information and/or mathematical physics, are particularly welcome. Among the tasks of the employed scientists will be development of new methods that can be used in the theory of : t-designs, complexity, short quantum circuits, efficient quantum gates.
