The PhD student will participate in the theoretical project “Two-component mixtures of a few attractive ultra-cold fermions” inspired by the most recent experiments in the field of ultra-cold gases confined in optical traps. The main objective is to perform very accurate, realistic numerical simulations which will bring us closer to a better understanding of physics of a few attractive fermions.

We have a fully funded PhD position available to work on the theory of cooperative effects in optomechanics and nanomechanics with André Xuereb (andre.xuereb@um.edu.mt) and Vittorio Peano (vittorio.peano@um.edu.mt) at the University of Malta. The project is theoretical, but we expect several strong interactions with many of our experimental colleagues. For more information please read the sample description at: https://goo.gl/rqtdiH

Research assistants in informatics for the project "Semantic tensor networks for large data sets analysis" needed. The project will be conducted in Quantum Systems of Informatics Group of Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Gliwice.

Goal of the project is to adapt tensor networks methods to large scale data processing.

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Ph.D. student willing to join the team undertaking a new, 3-year "First Team" research project entitled Integrated optics in time-frequency domain: a new versatile platform for quantum technologies, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science. The project aims at research in the field of theoretical condensed matter as well as theoretical and experimental quantum optics.

Skoltech's Quantum Software Initiative is currently offering Postdoc, PhD and Masters research projects to develop the theory and implementation of software that quantum computers will execute.
