This PhD program will explore whether interesting states of matter can be created by active temporal manipulation of the light-matter couplings. The theoretical project will be supervised by Dr Mikolaj K. Schmidt and Prof. Michael J. Steel from Macquarie University, and the student will join the thriving Sydney Quantum Academy to take classes on various aspects of quantum technology from the world-leading experts.

Center for Theoretical Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences (CTP PAS) will be opening a fully funded PhD position within the doctoral school Warsaw4PhD, with a start date of October 1st, 2024. We will be looking for a candidate to join the project "Studies of Spectrum Broadcast Structures in Quantum Open Systems Models", carried on at CTP and financed by National Science Center (NCN). The principal investigator is dr Jarek Korbicz.

We are currently looking for a PhD candidate to work in quantum information theory. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to an externally funded project about photonic quantum state generation and quantum non-locality.

For my recently established research group on quantum information and learning at the University of Hannover (Germany), I am looking for a motivated PhD student. The position will be based at the Insititute for Information Processing.

PhD Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join us in developing quantum memories based on alkali atomic gases. The project will involve testing various protocols to optimize memory performance, focusing on efficiency, photon storage time, capacity, and fidelity. The expected duration of the project is 5 years.

Applications are invited for a PhD position on quantum causality, focussing on the characterization of nonclassicality in the presence of (definite and) indefinite causal order. The position is funded by the QuanTEdu-France (France 2030) project at Aix-Marseille Université in the Calcul Naturel (CANA) team of the computer science lab, Laboratoire d’Informatique et des Systèmes (LIS). The project will be supervised by Ravi Kunjwal (Marseille) with co-supervision by Ognyan Oreshkov (Brussels).
