We invite you to the next QWorld seminar. During this meeting, Sarah Kaiser will talk about the open-source quantum software community.

QWebinar: "Growing the open source quantum software community" by Sarah Kaiser

From the speaker: When we are developing new technology, it is our communities that develop and drive us further than any individual effort could. We have lots of examples of how communities have helped shape other technologies and in particular open source software projects and people that now underpin much of our current software ecosystems. I want to share with you my journey from academia working as an open-source quantum developer at the Unitary Fund, what I have learned about the role that open source software has to play in developing quantum technologies, and how you can help grow our quantum community.

Global Quantum Programming Workshop | QBronze | November 23-28, 2020

Ready to learn quantum programming and computing but don’t know where to start? Take this opportunity to learn about the basics of quantum computing and quantum programming by joining the Global Quantum Programming Workshop! The workshop will be held on November 23-28, 2020.

Madrid, Spain, October 23, 2020 —aQuantum, a research, development, consulting and services group specialized in quantum software engineering and programming of the quantum division of AlhambraIT (Prologue Group) and Grupo Alarcos, today presented global launch of Q|Path>TM, the Quantum Development & Aplication Lifecycle Platform for high-quality quantum software.

There will be three QTalks in this week! All talks will be hosted by QLatvia and they will be part of #qworldchallenge2020. Please share them in your networks and also with your colleagues!

QTalk in Latvia: Quantum supremacy QTalk for Juniors with a special focus on high school students: Polarization of Light with Quantum Game QTalk with Women hosting women but open to everyone: My quantum journey by Laura Mančinska‬

In order to recognize the work of the unsung heroes, developers and maintainers, often unaware of the magnitude of the impact their work is having on the quantum software community, Quantum Open Source Foundation is partnering with Unitary Fund in order to award a US$4000 prizeto a software contributor/maintainer among crowd-sourced nominees. The winner of the prize is going to be selected by the Unitary’s Fund advisory board, which kindly agreed to act as an independent evaluation committee.

QWebinar: Q&A session with Scott Aaronson on quantum computing from the 80s to 20s During the next QWebinar we will host Scott Aaronson. It will be a Q&A session on quantum computing from the 80s to 20s. You can share your questions in advance when filling the application form. Andris Ambainis will be our special guest moderator.

Date: 18:00 (CEST), July 15, 2020.
