Announcing the JSAIT special issue "Quantum Information Science¨

It will especially focus on Communication and Computing. It will aim to bridge theory, practice and basic science, ranging from the state-of-the-art in quantum computing, to communication, coding, cryptography, and compression, as well as the current challenges remaining. An overarching theme is how the information-theoretic and quantum-physical perspectives complement each other in building these quantum technologies.

Dear All,

After receiving multiple questions about the deadline, we have decided to extend the abstract submission deadline of the 5th International Conference for Young Quantum Information Scientists (YQIS)! We have already received plenty of great submissions, but in case you (or your students / colleagues) have missed the deadline, you still have one week to apply for a talk! The new deadline is July 12 (23:59, AoE). You can find all the relevant information at

This is your last chance to register with an Early Registration Discount (and submit a poster) - our extended deadline is 17th June.

Please see for more details.

Submissions Open: 1 September 2018
Submission Deadline: 1 October 2018

Qubit Protocol is a decentralised blockchain enabled governance protocol that utilises the collective intelligence of the quantum science community to make strategic funding decisions on quantum technology projects. Projects place a proposal onto the Qubit Protocol and then experts and public token holders will be allowed to vote on the most meritorious projects to be funded.

2017 Paul Ehrenfest Best Paper Award for Quantum Foundations
Call for Award Nomination-deadline on April 30th.

European Physical Journal D, will publish a topical issue on Quantum Correlation. Deadline for submission is July 31 2018.

The purpose of this topical issue is to present both theoretical and experimental works addressed to investigate these concepts and their role in various areas of quantum science and quantum technologies. This issue is prepared in response to the challenges and visions outlined in the European Commission Quantum Technologies Flagship strategic document, and the commitment of the EC to support research in quantum technologies.
