International Iran Conference on Quantum Information 2018 will be held on 8-11 Sept. 2018 jointly at Sharif University of Technology and IPM in Tehran. The conference will feature the latest developments in theoretical and experimental quantum information science, feature talks by leading international researchers, and provide the opportunity for research discussions and collaborations between international and Iranian quantum information researchers.

A generously funded Scientia Scholarship is available to for an experimental PhD project to study hole quantum dots.

The scholarship is fully funded for 4 years (including all university tuition fees, a AUS\$40k (US\$30k) annual stipend, and an additional annual research/travel budget), and is open to applicants from any nationality.

Applications for a PhD position to work in Belfast under the supervision of Dr Alessandro Ferraro and Prof Mauro Paternostro, funded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND training programme, are open until 21 July 2017. The project would be developed in strong and close collaboration with the experimental linear-optics group led by Profs Fabio Sciarrino and Paolo Mataloni at Sapienza Universita' di Roma.
