Welcome to Quantiki

Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.

Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We also encourage to follow us using social media sites.

The research group (http:www.quantumparticlegroup.at) led by Beatrix C. Hiesmayr at the Faculty of Physics of University of Vienna (Austria) announces the opening of a PostDoc position in quantum physics. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with an excellent scientific record in theoretical quantum physics. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in networked quantum enhanced sensing in the quantum information science group of Animesh Datta. The post is part of the University of Warwick node of the Networked Quantum Technologies Hub, led by the University of Oxford.

We are looking for a post-graduate student to join the newly formed quantum information theory group of Animesh Datta at the University of Warwick. The goals of this theoretical project are first, to better understand the fundamental limits to precisions attainable in measurements, and second, to propose new techniques that use quantum physics to provide enhanced precisions. The student should be interested in a close interplay between concepts from theoretical quantum physics and techniques from mathematics.

Three PhD studentships in quantum cryptography at the University of York, associated with the recently-funded £24m York Hub on Quantum Communications. Start date: Oct 2015. Deadline for applications: 27 Feb 2015. See the web page for the detailed descriptions. For enquiries email: stefano.pirandola@york.ac.uk

The school is organized in the framework of the PICQUE (Photonic Integrated Compound Quantum Encoding) project and is devoted to students and young researchers looking for applications in quantum information or in the field of quantum optics. The scientific programme foresees tutorial lectures, seminars on scientific results and short talks delivered by young researchers and students.
