We invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the Security and Quantum Information Group (http://sqig.math.tecnico.ulisboa.pt) at Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), University of Lisbon.

The Group consists of 14 senior researcher and postdocs, and 9 graduate students.

Research interests of the Group include security, cryptography, quantum information, complexity, and formal methods. The group local collaboration includes experimental quantum optics group from IT-Aveiro and industry partners, such as Tekever.

The postdoc will be part of a research project QuantumMining, working on the following topics:

- secure multiparty computation;
- fast and practical implementations of quantum oblivious transfer;
- security analysis of quantum and classical cryptographic protocols.

We are looking for candidates with Ph.D. degrees in either physics, maths, computer science, engineering, or related areas with a strong background in one or more of the following research areas:

- quantum information
- cryptography
- quantum optics (theoretical and/or experimental)

The appointment would be for two and a half years. The starting date is flexible, from August 1, 2019.
