We are seeking a talented experimental physicist with experimental experience in quantum photonics to set up an entangled photon source and create an entanglement-based quantum random number generator (QRNG). This Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available via the EPSRC’s Quantum Technologies Hub in Quantum Communications, with the successful candidate being employed by the University of York and based at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in Teddington, London within its experimental quantum photonics team.

PhD and postdoc positions are available in the group of Prof. Stefan Willitsch at the University of Basel (Switzerland) on the development of quantum technologies for single trapped molecular ions and their application in precision spectroscopy.

Project description

Dear all,

we have a Heinz Nixdorf Endowed Full Professorship (W3) available in the Computer Science department of Paderborn University, Germany. The target area is ideally Quantum Algorithms and Software, but applications in all areas of Theoretical Quantum Computing are welcome.
