Welcome to Quantiki

Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.

Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We also encourage to follow us using social media sites.

ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences is a centre based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences, at the highest international level. In the research group "Quantum optics and quantum information with single atoms and photons" led by Jürgen Eschner we study experimentally the interaction of single trapped, laser-cooled ions and atoms with single photons. We are equally interested in the fundamental properties of such systems and in their application for quantum technologies.

ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences, a centre based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences, at the highest international level, is looking for a highly-motivated post-doctoral researcher to develop and exploit new entangled photon sources based on integrated optical technologies.

ICFO - The Institute of Photonic Sciences, a centre based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences, at the highest international level, is currently offering a post-doctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in the field of Experimental Quantum Optics with Cold Atoms. The successful candidate will be part of the research group led by Dr. Morgan Mitchell.

A post-doc position for 1 year (eventually renewed for 1 more year) will open in September 2008, based at the Mathematics Department, Laboratoire Paul Painlevé, University of Lille 1, France. It is financed by the ANR grant Quantum Statistics.

Candidates from applied mathematics, statistics with a solid mathematical background or from theoretical physics are invited to send a full CV and a letter describing their research interests to statquant@free.fr

Net salary will be about 2000 euros/month (income tax excluded).
