For my recently established research group on quantum information and learning at the University of Hannover (Germany), I am looking for a motivated PhD student. The position will be based at the Insititute for Information Processing.

Possible research topics include:

  • Quantum information theory
  • Quantum learning
  • Limitations of quantum computing

Applicants for a PhD position are expected to have

  • A MSc in physics, mathematics, or computer science (or something equivalent)
  • Good verbal and written english skills
  • Interest in quantum information processing (in particular mathematical aspects).

The starting date is flexible, with the goal to fill the position as soon as possible. There is no fixed deadline.
