The Second International ICST Conference on Quantum Communication and Quantum Networking - QuantumComm2012 - will bring together a wide group of experts to discuss all aspects of quantum communication and future quantum networking.

QuantumComm2012 is co-organized by the Budapest University of Technology in cooperation with Universita' di Pavia (Foundations of Quantum Mechanics, and Quantum Optics, Qubit.it). The conference is sponsored by Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (ICST), technically co-sponsored by CREATE-NET and endorsed by the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI).

The focus of QuantumComm2012 is around the following topics: Quantum Communications, Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Interferometry and Quantum Sensors, Entanglement as a Resource of Quantum Technology, Quantum Electron Transport and Nanophotonics Devices, Hybrid Quantum Systems: Connecting Photons – Atoms – Solid State Devices, Superconducting Nanoscale Devices in Quantum Communication, Nanomechanical Quantum Systems and Their Interaction with Nonclassical Light, Quantum Processors and Computers Design, Quantum Programming Languages and Semantics.

All accepted papers will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST) series.
