International Workshop on Weak Value and Weak Measurement

Acronym:

WVWM2015

Organising group(s):

Research Associate in Quantum Computation, University of Cambridge UK

Registration deadline:

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Weak Value and its measurement, Weak Measurement, have seen a surge of interest in recent years because of their possibility of impact on the very foundation of quantum mechanics and also of their relevance in precision measurement by the characteristic amplification mechanism. The aim of this workshop is to bring together some of the prominent world experts and internal leaders of the field to discuss the imminent issues that have surfaced recently. These include the significance of the time symmetric formulation in quantum foundations, the physical reality and interpretations of Weak Value, the effectiveness of the (AAV) amplification mechanism for precision measurement in the light of information and uncertainty, and novel possibilities of Weak Measurement for exploring fundamental aspects of quantum phenomena. The workshop intends also to provide an opportunity for intensive but casual discussions among people from different disciplines to stimulate interdisciplinary future collaborations.
