We offer:
12 fully-funded 4-year PhD positions to undertake cutting-edge technology research in Nottingham as part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Hub in Sensors and Metrology (http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/generic/quantum/index.aspx)

Projects include experimental and/or theoretical studies of: ultracold atom systems; solid-state atom chips; optical and quantum electronic device design, fabrication and study; 3D printing of next-generation sensor chips; biomedical imaging; GPS

Excellent opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, including with experts in engineering and biomedical imaging, and with our 5 university and 65 industry partners.

A small number of bursaries will be available to apply to cover travel expenses.
