Dear All,
This is the first Lecture of the Online Summer School and Lecture Series on Matterwave Interferometry, which is organised as an interim replacement for the summer school normally organised every two years in the context of the Conference on Frontiers of Matterwave Optics . It will be held by Augusto Smerzi and will give the introductory concepts of Matterwave Interferometry.
This lecture is part of the FOMO-AtomQT Lecture Series on Matterwave Interferometry , which aims at training the next generation of theorists and experimentalists working on atom interferometry. The participants will be PhD students or postdocs new to the field.
The programme of the Lecture Series will progressively lead the participants from the classical basics (Interferometry 1.0) to modern engagement-enhanced systems (Interferometry 2.1) . The Lectures will be held on Zoom and made available online to registered participants for a limited amount of time. A Certificate of Participation will be provided, which can be used to obtain ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) points.
FOMO Lecture Series 2021. The School will start on June 15, 2021 (3pm CET) time and will finish on July 22. There will be two lectures per week, on Tuesdays and on Thursdays at 3pm CET time.
