Workshop Overview
This workshop explores how information processing and dynamic systems reveal complementary perspectives on emergent phenomena. Discover how simple rules can lead to the complex, unpredictable behaviors observed across physics and computer science. Inspired by cellular automata, we will discover how simple rules may manifest in intriguing emergent phenomena such as phase transitions and neuronal mechanisms.
The goal of this workshop is to meet and engage with experts across physics and computer science to discuss how these disciplines intersect in the study of complex systems and emergent behavior.
This event is hosted by two pioneering groups:
- The Theoretical Atomic Physics and Synthetic Quantum Systems group, led by Prof. Dr. Igor Lesanovsky
- The Self-organization and Optimality in Neuronal Networks group, led by Prof. Dr. Anna Levina (Martius)
