PhD

Overview: A well-funded UNSW Scientia Scholarship is available in a PhD project to study device-to-device quantum communication via satellites. The scholarship is fully funded for four years, covers all university tuition fees, carries a paid annual stipend of AUD 41,209 (indexed to 2019 rates), and an additional research/travel budget of up to AUD 10,000 per year. This Scholarship is open to applicants from any nationality.

Fully funded Ph.D. scholarships for foreign students are available within the first Italian inter-university PhD program in Quantum Technologies:

The PhD program is jointly offered by the University of Napoli Federico II, the National Council of Research (CNR) and the University of Camerino.

The starting date of the PhD program is expected to be October 2019.

The Korteweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics (KdVI) at the University of Amsterdam invites you to apply for a PhD position in quantum information in the group of Michael Walter. We are part of the QuSoft Research Center, which brings together researchers from many different disciplines working in all areas of quantum information science.

The Quantum Information Group at the Institute of Theoretical Physics invites applications for positions for two Research Assistants (m/f/d) (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 75% - 100%) to be appointed as soon as possible. The positions are initially limited to one year with the possibility of extension. These positions are part of different research projects and therefore open for post-doctoral researchers and/or PhD students.

Responsibilities and duties

We announce the opening of two PhD positions in non-equilibrium many-body theory in the Institute of Physics at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz to work in the group of Jun. Prof. Dr. J. Marino (https://sites.google.com/site/jamirmarino/).

The PhD student will be an integral part of a new team of researchers covering a broad range of topics including quantum statistical physics, condensed-matter theory, and quantum many-body optics in far-from-equilibrium conditions.
