We are pleased to announce the master’s programme "Quantum Information Technologies"
The Master's Program is aimed at training of highly-qualified specialists who will be able to solve complex Engineering Tasks on transmission, storage, and processing of data using quantum information technologies and methods based on the advanced achievements in quantum physics of condensed state, quantum and nonlinear optics, quantum communication, quantum computing, nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, and nanotechnology.

In the process of setting up a new quantum optics theory group, I am searching for outstanding PhD students to work on the following topics
- Quantum simulation with quantum optics setups, in particular of lattice gauge theories
- Design of protocols for measuring entanglement in cold quantum gases
- Theory of quantum many-body systems (non-equilibrium dynamics, periodically driven systems, exotic quantum phases, characterization through entanglement)

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious researcher with a background in quantum communications to join our team in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities, working on the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Quantum Communications.

The European Space Agency's Advanced Concepts Team (https://www.esa.int/act) is looking for a highly motivated young researcher in the field of Fundamental Physics. For this position there is a focus on research in theoretical quantum physics – including quantum information, optics and metrology – and the application of quantum effects to technology and material design as well as to other fields of physics e.g. relativistic quantum metrology.

Our ambition is to realize a world wide quantum internet, connecting few qubit quantum processors using long distance quantum communication links. In 2020, we aim to have the first demonstration network connecting several cities in the Netherlands. We are now looking for an exceptional PhD candidate to join us in this endeavour.
