A Research Fellow position is open in the group of Alexia Auffèves (CNRS-MajuLab,CQT, Singapore) to work on fundamental aspects of quantum energetics applied to quantum optics. The student is expected to work in the subject of condensed matter theory and quantum information science. This is a 4 year position funded by Taighde Éireann–Research Ireland. The DQUT Conference (Palma de Mallorca, Spain, September 30th – October 2nd, 2026) will bring together researchers working on dissipation-assisted quantum technologies and related areas of quantum physics, ranging from fundamental questions to emerging technological applications. Abstract: Quantum correlations between multiple parties are a central ingredient for many quantum technologies, with applications in quantum communication, quantum computation, and quantum metrology, amongst others. However, while multipartite entanglement is a generic feature of many-body systems, unraveling the entanglement structure of a given quantum system is generally difficult, both in theory and in practice. In this talk, we will first give an introduction to the different forms of entanglement between several parties.
We are very happy to announce the main events associated to the thematic program on Mathematics of Many-Body Entanglement at Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge (UK), between 1st September and 18th December 2026. These events will be three workshops and one school.
The objective of our program is to advance the theoretical and practical understanding of complex quantum systems, with a particular emphasis on the mathematical frameworks that underpin entanglement phenomena in many-body systems. We are recruiting one PhD and one Postdoc to begin around October 2026. The successful candidates will work under the joint supervision of Marco Fanizza and Cambyse Rouzé and will join the Inria team Quriosity, located at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Quriosity specializes in the theory of quantum information with currently 7 permanent members whose research spans topics such as: quantum computing, quantum cryptography, quantum simulation, quantum foundations and quantum learning.
