Your Research Journey: Your research will explore the fascinating frontiers of quantum science, focusing on quantum information theory and quantum entanglement. You'll investigate nonlocality and quantum networks, working to bridge theoretical frameworks with experimental implementations. While our group's primary focus is theoretical, you'll have the unique opportunity to participate in proof-of-concept demonstrations through our experimental collaborations.
Ideal Candidate: We're looking for candidates who hold or are about to complete an MSc in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in quantum mechanics/information/ optics, along with basic programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as is enthusiasm for collaborative research and a creative approach to problem-solving.
Practical Details: The position offers a scholarship plus additional project funding. The anticipated start date lies between between May-October 2025. You'll be based at the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw, Poland.
