Marie Curie ITN Fellow (PhD) in Paris

Job type:

Application deadline:

Sunday, March 30, 2014

The PhD fellow will work on the theory of cavity quantum electrodynamics of resonators embedding high-mobility 2D electron gases (both massive electrons in semiconductors and Dirac fermions in graphene).
The fellowship is funded by the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) NOTEDEV and offers a very attractive salary and mobility allowances. <!--break-->

The project is interdisciplinary and is located at the frontier between quantum optics, quantum transport and many-body theory of open quantum systems.
The fellow will have the opportunity to explore an exciting field in strong expansion and learn state-of-the-art techniques on a broad spectrum of topics.
The project will focus on fundamental physical aspects, but also applications for quantum devices will be investigated.
Please, do not hesitate to contact Prof. Cristiano Ciuti for more information. Letters of recommandation and a short informal motivation letter are welcome.
