One Ph.D. position of duration four years is available in the Theoretical at the Institute for theoretical Physics at ETH Zürich. The Ph.D. position will be funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation to achieve the goals of the project "Universality in many-body nonequilibrium dynamics: from hydrodynamics to field theory" coordinated by Dr. Gabriele Perfetto.
The PhD student will be a member of the quantum statistical physics group and co-supervised by Dr. Nicolò Defenu.
The prospective candidates shall have a strong background in theoretical physics and a keen interest in the study of nonequilibrium many-body classical and quantum dynamics, critical phenomena and field theory. Interviews will be carried out in June-July, with positions starting in August/September. Modifications to this schedule can be requested case by case. The salary is regulated by the institute guidelines.
