We are currently offering a PhD position in the field of quantum statistics and tensor network states (see: https://www.beyondc.at/subprojects/p12-dakic/). The appointed candidate will pursue the PhD at the University of Vienna under co-supervision of Borivoje Dakic (University of Vienna) and Frank Verstraete (University of Ghent). A gross salary is defined by the Austrian Science Fund standards (see https://www.fwf.ac.at/en/research-funding/personnel-costs/ for details). A strong background in quantum mechanics, mathematics, probability theory and statistics is desirable.
