We are seeking a motivated PhD student to join an exciting project focused on bridging the gap between rigorous security proofs and their practical applications in real-world scenarios. This position is part of the NSPT-QKD consortium, funded by FFG, and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with industry partners while working at TU Wien.
About the Role:
The PhD student will engage in interdisciplinary research, applying expertise from various academic backgrounds such as Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics. The project involves learning and working with different programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB), semidefinite programming techniques, and mathematical reasoning. Additionally, the role provides the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in quantum information, cryptography, and cybersecurity, with a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
