Research Title:
Quantum optical networks for quantum technologies
Brief Description of Research:
The project will investigate novel multiphoton interference techniques in optical networks for the development of new quantum technologies with applications in engineering, biology, communication, astrophysics and cosmology.
This can involve high-precision estimation of physical parameters, overcoming the Rayleigh resolution limit and implementing new long distance communication schemes. The project will involve a collaboration with the University of Bari (Prof. Paolo Facchi) and the US company Xairos.
