Funded and unfunded PhD positions are available on a competitive basis at the Department of Mathematics at the University of York/UK. Students interested in pursuing a PhD in quantum information or the foundations of quantum theory are welcome to apply.
Research directions include (but are not limited to) Bell non-locality and device-independence, convex optimisation, quantum cryptography, causality and contextuality, foil theories of quantum mechanics and mutually unbiased bases.
For more information about the group's research, see the group website https://www.york.ac.uk/maths/research/mathematical-physics-quantum-infor...
For an Autumn 2027 start, please apply by mid-January through the following link: https://www.york.ac.uk/maths/study/postgraduate-research/phd-mphil-mathe...
