We are currently offering a postdoctoral position to highly motivated and well-qualified young researchers who intend to enhance their scientific career in the field of ultracold atoms - mixtures fermionic quantum gases. The position is associated with the research group of Prof. Jook Walraven at the Van der Waals-Zeeman Institute of the University of Amsterdam. The appointed candidates could start at their earliest convenience.
The positions will be funded by the FOM (Dutch founding agency) for a duration of up to two years. This work is part of the research program on Quantum Gases of the Stichting voor Fundamenteel Onderzoek der Materie (FOM), which is financially supported by the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO).
The research will be about novel regimes of strong interaction in quantum gases. We are currently studying ultracold mixtures of fermionic quantum gases with a mass imbalance. The two fermionic species we are using are the alkali atoms 6Li and 40K.
