Quantum Laboratory Instructor, U. Chicago

The University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Engineering (PME) offers a unique undergraduate program focused on quantum engineering and science. The Laboratory Instructor of the Undergraduate Quantum Education Laboratory develops and oversees the new undergraduate quantum lab course and provides innovative leadership and effective administrative direction that promotes undergraduate students’ academic success and supports the overall student experience. The Instructor, working in conjunction with PME Faculty, will design and implement teaching experiments in a variety of quantum platforms, with significant opportunities for customization. The Laboratory Instructor will have the opportunity to design a new, innovative educational program from the ground up. The ideal candidate will combine a background in advanced experimental techniques with a passion for education. Candidates with a recent or soon-to-be awarded Ph.D. in experimental science are strongly encouraged to apply.
