CV-QKD

The researcher will work on mathematical modeling and security analysis of CV-QKD protocols. They will develop new protocols and improve current security proofs, aiming at better system performance and suitable computational requirement, summarizing the protocol and security proof in a comprehensive way in view of standardization and certification. They will closely work with experimental partners providing theoretical support to the experimental activity.

A joint team from the Departments of Electronic Engineering and Physics at University of York, UK, are currently developing research activities on free-space quantum communications systems, which have so far included funded feasibility studies and phased experimental demonstrations.

A fixed-term post-graduate / post-doctoral position is available until the end of March 2021 in the Department of Physics, to work in the group of Professor Tim Spiller, on an Innovate UK- funded project to design and build prototype research-led receivers for satellite QKD.
