The five-day summerschool (July 22 - 26, 2019) NanoQI'19 provides an introduction to the basics and recent advances in several main areas of quantum information theory and solid-state-based quantum technologies. Both the physics of different implementations of quantum information and technologies and the relevant theoretical methods are covered.
Within the the EU QT-Flagship, the OpenSuperQ consortium will build a cloud-based superconducting quantum computer at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. As part of this effort, we are currently seeking a Postdoc in Computational Quantum Chemistry, who will work in the Chalmers team modelling physical systems on quantum computers.

This is the fourteenth in a series of conferences that aims to bring together the leading researchers in the areas of quantum computation, quantum communication and quantum cryptography. TQC covers all theoretical aspects of quantum information.
Applications are invited for open competition scholarships for Hardiman Scholarship funding for PhD program at the National University of Ireland, Galway. I am particularly interested in supervising students in Quantum Games, Quantum Walks, or other Quantum Algorithms. We are currently recruiting PhD students in three different areas of experimental quantum physics. All three positions are fully funded, with a yearly salary of about €33000, with access to Sweden’s strong social security net.
The areas are 1) cavity QED microscope for single molecules, 2) Quantum computing in rare-earth crystals, 3) slow and fast light applications, described in more detail below.
1) Quantum optics in the context of chemical physics
The position is in the group of Dimitris G. Angelakis in the Centre for Quantum Technologies Singapore (www.dimitrisangelakis.org). We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong research background and a PhD in quantum physics or quantum information and/or condensed matter or related discipline with experience in research in quantum algorithms and/or quantum machine learning.

The School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions.
