The research group of Associate Professor Jarryd Pla has an opening for a Post-Doctoral Fellow. In this role, you will conduct simulations, design, and experimental work on superconducting quantum devices to perform quantum-noise-limited measurements at elevated temperatures (> 1.5 Kelvin).
Here, at the University of Sheffield, we are a theory group focussing on Quantum Error Correction (QEC) and its applications, for example in Quantum Metrology. We are also interested in fundamental problems in quantum metrology, such as in multiparameter state estimation (and applications).

Ved’S Search is a multidisciplinary research initiative at the intersection of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and mathematical optimization, founded by researcher Taleb Mohammed Said.

This workshop will bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners working on all aspects of Quantum Error Mitigation (QEM) and error resilient compilation - from those studying sampling costs to those implementing protocols in real-world quantum computing pipelines.
Quantum computing offers a transformative approach to materials simulation, potentially performing quantum-mechanical calculations orders of magnitude faster and more accurately than classical methods on conventional high-performance computers. This unlocks the true computational design of novel materials, paving the way for solutions to global challenges related to sustainability and renewable energies. This capability can revolutionize various fields, enabling, for example, the improvement of catalytic processes and a deeper, atomistic understanding of material degradation. These advancements pave the way for knowledge-based optimization of load, process, and operating conditions in devices like fuel cells, ultimately reducing our reliance on scarce, environmentally harmful, and expensive materials. The focus of the PhD thesis is the development and testing of hybrid quantum-classical workflows and relevant models for simulating industrially relevant materials on a near-term quantum computer.
The Quantum Matter and Information group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT) UAM-CSIC invites applications for a PhD position funded by the QUITEMAD project. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Daniel González-Cuadra, focusing on developing quantum simulation algorithms tailored to lattice gauge theories.

The Quantum AI and NLP 2025 Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington (6th-8th of August) is open for paper submissions. This is an “in-cooperation with the ACM” conference supported by the ACM Special Interest Group AI (SIGAI). Special student sessions will be announced soon. As quantum computing evolves and becomes applicable, the need for systematic, disciplined and measurable approaches to the development, operation and maintenance of quantum software (and the classical software with which it is integrated) grows. Many of the lessons we have learned in decades of research, innovation and development in Software Engineering are applicable in this new quantum-classical hybrid reality. Still, this new context raises questions, challenges and opportunities; identifying, characterizing and responding to them is the focus of Quantum Software Engineering.
