The Frontiers in Modern Optics Summer School will be held from 30 June-5 July 2014 as part of the Enrico Fermi International Summer School Series.
The Enrico Fermi International Summer School is one of the most celebrated events of its kind and has counted amongst its attendees several Nobel Prize winners. This prestigious event will be held at Villa Monastero, in Varenna, on the shores of Como’s Lake (Italy).
The study of quantum coherent dynamics is currently one of the most active and exciting areas in physics. It holds the promise for the development of new technologies (quantum computing, quantum metrology,...) and, at the same time, has already delivered insights into the foundations of quantum mechanics. Its fast moving pace, in both theory and experiment, has attracted many young researchers and summer schools have become an integral part of the education and networking of students.

The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), in collaboration with Chalmers University, Gothenburg (Sweden), is organising a summer school on "Quantum Integrable Systems and Quantum Information Theory" from 18-24 August 2013.
