Reference number: II-282/23 (starting at the earliest possible / limited until 30.11.2026 / closing date for applications 26/05/23)
Tasks
Research on quantum algorithms for applications in quantum chemistry within the project "ATIQ: Trapped-Ion Quantum Computer for Applications – Quantum Gate Co-design for Quantum Chemistry Applications" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Requirements
The theoretical division of Quantum Algorithms, directed by Prof. Leandro Aolita, at the Quantum Research Centre (QRC) of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking highly talented and motivated experienced researchers to fill a vacancy of lead scientist. This is an intermediate position between postdoctoral researcher and director.
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is a newly-established, top-funding state initiative that aims at becoming a major international hub for Science & Technology (https://www.tii.ae/). The Quantum Research Centre (QRC) at TII has recently launched world-class theoretical and experimental research groups on different quantum technologies (https://quantum.tii.ae/about-us-quantum).
Within the the EU QT-Flagship, the OpenSuperQ consortium will build a cloud-based superconducting quantum computer at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. As part of this effort, we are currently seeking a Postdoc in Computational Quantum Chemistry, who will work in the Chalmers team modelling physical systems on quantum computers.
