Marco Gramegna received his Ph.D. degree (2006) at Politecnico of Torino. Currently he is a permanent researcher (2010) at INRIM, Quantum Metrology and Nanotechnology Division – QN04 Quantum Optics Program, his interests and expertise concern experimental quantum optics, metrology for quantum technologies, quantum communication and QKD, quantum metrology and sensing, quantum information and foundations of quantum mechanics. In these fields he is co-author of more than 60 scientific papers on ISI journals. He is coordinator of EMPIR 19NRM06 MeTISQ project on “Metrology for testing the implementation security of quantum key distribution hardware” [www.euramet.org/project-19nrm06], INRIM delegate and Rapporteur in ETSI ISG QKD, member of the CEN-CENELEC Focus Group on Quantum Technologies (FGQT), member of the UNI/ISO MG FGQT. He has been invited speaker, chairman and organiser of international conferences, Co-Chair and project manager of the Time Machine Factory conference series [https://indico.ict.inaf.it/event/751/]. Since 2019 he has served as manager and coordinator of communication of the EURAMET EMN-Q, the European Metrology Network for Quantum Technologies [www.euramet.org/quantum-technologies]. He is also involved in popularization of science projects.
