The standard textbook that
The standard textbook that most people start with is by Michael A. Nielsen and Isaac L. Chuang and is called "Quantum Computation and Quantum Information". Since it is so much used it is also known as "Mike & Ike". It includes a summary of the linear algerbra and quantum mechanics that is necessary for the rest of the book. http://web.squint.org/qci/
