We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Ph.D. student willing to join the international team undertaking the "First Team" research project entitled Integrated optics in time-frequency domain: a new versatile platform for quantum technologies, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science. The international project aims at research in the field of theoretical condensed matter as well as theoretical and experimental quantum optics.

The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) is inviting applications for a junior research group leader position in theoretical physics. The 5-year position comes with funding for a postdoc and two PhD students.

Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Nottingham. The successful candidate will carry out experimental research and technological development of quantum sensors.

The specific research focus is the development of optically pumped magnetometers (based on cesium atomic vapor) and their applications including medical applications. The project is funded by the UK National Quantum Technology Hub in Sensing and Timing.
