PhD

These positions are advertised across specialisations, and include the following possible research topics:

We are happy to announce the availability of PhD positions at the University of Nottingham in the area of Quantum Technologies / Ultracold Mixtures. We are working on two exciting projects in our lab, one is an atom-photon interface with Caesium atoms based on an atom chip structure, the other one is on ultracold Bose-Fermi mixtures using Lithium-6 and Caesium-133 atoms. LiCs mixtures are extremely interesting for non-equilibrium studies, impurity physics and ultracold molecules.

Opening for a PhD about the quantum many body problem
under the supervision of Dr. Luca Tagliacozzo
in the CNQO group of the
Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde.

We are pleased to announce four new PhD opportunities in quantum systems engineering and additive manufacture for quantum technologies on jobs.ac.uk in

Computer Aided Modelling and Design of Open Quantum Systems
Accelerated Failure and Device Characterisation of Quantum Systems without Clear Systems Boundaries
Knowledge Based Systems Approach to Computer Aided Engineering of Quantum Technologies
Additive Manufacture as a Path to Accelerated Innovation in Quantum Technologies

Every year Aberystwyth University runs a competition for PhD fellowships. I'm looking for a candidate to apply with for this competition, with a deadline on 1st of March, and an aim to start their PhD in Autumn. My group currently consists of four PhD students and one PostDoc. Aberystwyth is a beautiful seaside town in Wales with lots of nature around. The fellowship will pay for home/EU fees and provide a stipend for living costs for 3 years.
