A PhD opportunity to study and design theoretical concepts for quantum computers. Full funding is available to UK/EU citizens. The student will be supervised by Dr Earl Campbell in the department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Sheffield.

KTH- Nanostructure Physics is seeking applications for a PhD student to work on this project in Stockholm. The successful applicant will analyze and experiment with various schemes for the amplification of microwave signals at the quantum limit of added noise, and with the entanglement of photons in a microwave frequency comb. The goal of our studies is the development of fundamental understanding leading to the long-term goal of applications in quantum information processing, quantum computation and quantum metrology.

The Quantum Computing Lab in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a motivated PhD student in the area of quantum computation and information. Our lab currently focuses primarily on Quantum Hamiltonian Complexity, though areas such as quantum algorithms and quantum cryptography are also of interest. More information can be found at:
