In view of realizing new quantum technologies, it becomes crucial to manage energy exchanges and thermodynamic tasks at the level of singles quantum systems, where quantum effects may play an important role. In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University, a Postdoc position is open in the field of simulations of curved spacetime (aka analogue gravity).
Previous published experience in analogue gravity is required.
Possible physical realizations include, but are not limited to, ultracold quantum gases, ion traps, and condensates of light.

The Trapped Ion Quantum Technology group at Stockholm University invites applications for a postdoctoral position on our trapped Rydberg ion experiments. The postdoc will work on an experiment to investigate Rydberg physics and perform quantum gates in longer ion strings.

Our research Team focuses on the development of the next generation atomic quantum sensors. We have developed an atomic portable gravimeter, all optical atomic magnetometer and other sensors. Our next challenge is to progress this technology/research further and with clear goals to provide solutions ranging from application in navigation, inertial sensing to monitoring gravity for applications in geology. Research Associate/Fellow in Quantum Simulation of many-body dynamics with Rydberg interactions

A three-year postdoc position is available from May 2022 at University of Nottingham. This post is supported by an EPSRC grant to study quantum simulation of many-body dynamics with Rydberg interactions.
