Position open for a 2-year postdoc in the new group “Quantum Dynamics and Control” lead by Aurelia Chenu at the University of Luxembourg, starting between October 1st, 2021 and Feb. 1st, 2022.

The postdoc fellow will be working on dynamics of non-Hermitian quantum systems. The applicant should be a creative and motivated researcher with

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills;

• A high-quality PhD in Theoretical Physics;

• Solid knowledge of Quantum Mechanics;

• Good written and oral skills in English.

We are seeking 2 postdoctoral researchers with quantum experience to work on Quantum Algorithms and Quantum Control at Macquarie University, Sydney.

Supercomputers help us to find solutions to major scientific challenges and are indispensable for modern research. The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) operates one of the most powerful computer systems for scientific and technical applications in Europe and makes it available for research purposes to scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich, in Germany, and throughout Europe.

We offer a 2-years post-doctoral position (with possible extension up to 4 years) for a motivated experimental researcher to join our work on quantum noise squeezing for the advanced gravitational wave detectors and related quantum information processing.

Quantum Information and Inference laboratory (QI2-lab) led by Jan Kolodynski at the Centre of New Technologies (CeNT) of the University of Warsaw offers a postdoctoral position within the project Continuously Monitored Quantum Sensors: Smart Tools and Applications (C'MON-QSENS!) funded by the QuantERA EU programme in Quantum Technologies. The appointment will be for two years with a possible one-year extension option.

We offer a 2-years post-doctoral position (with possible extension) for a motivated experimental researcher to join our work on spin qubits in silicon carbide and diamond. Our goal is to push the limits in controlling individual electron and nuclear spins by utilising advances signal processing techniques such as adaptive Bayesian estimation and deep learning.

A PhD and postdoctoral positions are available at the Faculty of Science at the Palacky University in Olomouc as a part of the national project EXPRO (Projects of Excellence in Basic Research) of Czech Science Foundation.

Nori’s group at RIKEN (in a nice suburb right outside Tokyo, Japan) is seeking Postdoctoral Researchers and Research Scientists working on (1) quantum computing using superconducting circuits, and/or (2) AI machine learning applied to quantum physics.

Our top priorities are now: (1) quantum computing using superconducting qubits, (2) coherent Ising machines, and (3) neural networks and machine learning applied to quantum physics. Candidates with prior experience in these topics will have priority.

The HCTPA seeks to fill one postdoctoral position in computational and theoretical AMO physics to commence in the academic year 2021/2 (starting date is 1/OCT/2021 or a bit later):
The successful research fellow joining the center will work on the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of mixtures, impurities, and Bose-Einstein condensates.
The appointment is for 1+1 years pending a successful 1st year.
The salary is according to the University of Haifa post-doctorate scale.

Description

Nu Quantum is looking to fund a 3-6 month long internship starting during summer 2021. The internships are full-time, paid, and based in Cambridge where possible.

Ideal candidates are either well into their PhDs, or recently finished. The projects will be carried out at the Nu Quantum headquarters and optics lab in Cambridge, collaboratively with the team which is now 15-strong.
