Welcome to Quantiki, the world's leading portal for everyone involved in quantum information science. No matter if you are a researcher, a student or an enthusiast of quantum theory, this is the place you are going to find useful and enjoyable! While here on Quantiki you can: browse our content, including fascinating and educative articles, then create your own account and log in to gain more editorial possibilities.
Add new content, such as information about upcoming quantum events, open positions for quantum scientists and existing quantum research groups. We are also distributing news via X (Twitter) feed, Bluesky news feed, and LinkedIn profile. We encourage you to follow us on social media to get the recent news from quantum infromation community.
This one-day Workshop is by invitation only. Send a message to quantum@tennessee.edu if you wish to receive an invitation to participate. Limited funding is available for all participants.
The Quantum Technologies Group at the University of Tennessee (http://quantum.utk.edu) is accepting applications for postdoctoral positions to start Fall 2019. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in quantum sensing and applications. The positions are for two years with a possible extension to three years and limited to US citizens. If you are interested in applying, please send a current CV, list of publications, a research proposal, and the names of three references.
NETWORK GAMES, TROPICAL GEOMETRY, AND QUANTUM COMMUNICATION
The newly funded Berlin Mathematics Research Center MATH+ is a joint effort of the three Berlin universities - Freie Universität, Humboldt-Universität and Technische Universität - to advance application-oriented mathematics. In each semester the center organizes a thematic topic development program to foster innovative connections and collaborations between different branches of mathematics and related fields. The first thematic semester will focus on network games, tropical geometry, and quantum communication.
The Oxford-based group of Professor Simon Benjamin (see QTechTheory.org) is looking for an exceptionally talented and motivated theorist to join the team. The successful applicant will perform research in one or more of the following topics: quantum algorithms, compilers, architectures, and error tolerance protocols. Close interaction is anticipated with experimental groups in Oxford, across the UK, and internationally.
We will have a 3-years senior-post-doc position (ricercatore di tipo a) in the Algebra group of the Mathematics Department of Trento University.
The position is funded by the "Q@TN - quantum at Trento" initiative on quantum science and technology (www.quantumtrento.eu) and the selected candidate is expected to work on the interdisciplinary project:
Algebraic Geometry methods for Matrix Product States
Scope:
On 26-27.02.2019 International Centre for Interfacing Magnetism and Superconductivity with Topological Matter – MagTop at Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, organizes symposium devoted to recent developments, both in theory and experiment, in the field of Majorana modes and other topological low-energy excitations.
We are currently recruiting PhD students in three different areas of experimental quantum physics. All three positions are fully funded, with a yearly salary of about €33000, with access to Sweden’s strong social security net.
The areas are 1) cavity QED microscope for single molecules, 2) Quantum computing in rare-earth crystals, 3) slow and fast light applications, described in more detail below.
1) Quantum optics in the context of chemical physics
The Ultracold Quantum Gases group, led by Leticia Tarruell, is inviting applications for one postdoctoral position in experimental AMO physics.
Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions in experimental quantum optics and quantum information at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel (LKB), in Paris (France), in the research group led by Prof. Julien Laurat.
