Post-doc in theoretical photonic quantum computing in Florence
I am happy to announce the opening of two 18-month postdoc positions (extendable) in Theoretical Photonic Quantum Computing at the Physics Department of the University of Florence, in the group of Prof. Leonardo Banchi. The two positions are funded by the EPIQUE project, a large European collaboration between different theoretical and experimental groups. The successful candidates are expected to develop new applications and benchmarking techniques for the photonic quantum computers that will be constructed during the project, and to collaborate with the other groups.
Post-doc in quantum metrology
The Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University Tübingen is looking to fill
a post-doc position in Quantum Metrology (m/f/d, E13 TV-L, 100%)
starting March 1st, 2024, and ending September 30, 2025. The position is offered in the framework of the EU Horizon 2020 QuCom project and will have as topic the development of novel quantum metrology schemes for measuring small gravitational effects.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a background in general relativity, ideally paired with expertise in quantum metrology or quantum optics.

Postdoc Quantum Simulations of Curved Spacetime (Analogue Gravity)
In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University,
a Postdoc position is open in the field of simulations of curved spacetime (aka analogue gravity).
A sizable track record and publications in analogue gravity research is required.
Postdoctoral positions in quantum coherence and quantum sensing with superconducting devices at University of Waterloo
Postdoctoral positions are available at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC, https://uwaterloo.ca/institute-for-quantum-computing/), University of Waterloo (UW), in the field of superconducting devices. The positions are with the Superconducting Quantum Devices (SQD) group and will be supervised by Adrian Lupascu. The positions are focused on two broad areas: improving coherence of superconducting devices and quantum sensing.
Postdoc/Research Associate in Quantum Metrology
In the Theory of Cold Atoms group of Prof. Uwe R. Fischer at Seoul National University,
a Postdoc position is open in the field of quantum metrology, broadly defined.
We are seeking candidates with an established high level profile and
a sizable track record in quantum metrology.
The initial appointment, which is as soon as possible, is for one year with a possible extension to three
years in total, depending on performance.

Quantum AlgoLab International Summer School - Near-Term Quantum Algorithms
About the International Summer School on Near-Term Quantum Algorithms
PhD position in molecular-ion quantum technologies for precision spectroscopy at the University of Basel (Switzerland)
A PhD position is available in the group of Prof. Stefan Willitsch at the University of Basel (Switzerland) on the development of quantum technologies for single trapped molecular ions and their application in precision spectroscopy.
Project description
2-4 year Postdoc in Superconducting Qubit and Machine Learning in Germany
The PGI-2 team of superconducting qubit theory, coordinated by Dr. Ansari https://sites.google.com/site/mansari , is renowned for its expertise in accurately modeling such processors. The group specializes in integrating machine learning techniques with circuit QED theory to identify optimal regimes for hardware control and development. With their exceptional skills in device modeling, the team significantly contributes to the success of all experimental partners in the project.
