We offer two postdoctoral research positions in quantum information theory. Potential research topics include the following:

• Quantum communications and quantum networking theory.
• Theory of quantum key distribution or other quantum communications applications.
• Quantum error correction, in particular in connection with modular quantum computation.

The compensation is in accordance with the OIST Employee Compensation Regulations and depends on the time since graduation.

At Lace Lithography, we are happy to offer an exciting opportunity for a junior experimental physicist to join our experimental team in Bergen, Norway. We are a recently founded company focused on developing revolutionary chip lithography technology that will significantly enhance chip performance.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who has recently graduated from a Master's or a PhD program and is eager to kickstart their career by joining an ambitious startup backed by international investors.

Your Role:

We are looking for motivated PhD candidates interested in joining our effort to harness time-varying optical metamaterials to improve the capabilities of integrated quantum optical systems. The project will be mostly theoretical, framed in the language of open quantum systems, cavity optomechanics and quantum nonlinear optics. In addition, the candidate will work closely with a leading experimental group seeking to implement these concepts.

During your doctorate, you will be a valued member and integral part of our quantum computing team (led by Dr. Christian Gogolin) within the Digital Research & Development department at Covestro. The position comes with the offer to be associated with the group of Prof. Dr. David Gross at the University of Cologne, which would award the degree. Arrangements with other supervisors and host universities are possible. As a PhD candidate, you will be given opportunities to contribute to collaborations with Google Quantum AI and the quantum computing startup QC Ware.

We are looking for three Postdoctoral Research Associates for the EPSRC-funded project “Rubber DUQ: flexible Dynamic Universal Quantum programming” three years each. The project aims to prototype a quantum programming language based on categorical universal properties such as quantum information effects, implement a compiler, and quantify its robustness, and develop automated strategies to trade off resilience to noise against speed or accuracy.

Assistant and Associate Professor positions in Quantum Computer Science are available via TU Delft's open call for computer science . This highly competitive call aims to expand computer science at TU Delft - in any area, including quantum computer science. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of research excellence in computer science, and their future abilities to contribute to computer science education at TU Delft.
