EXPECTED PROFILE

Candidates' research projects will focus on quantum technologies for transmission systems. Candidates with advanced training in applied mathematics being university or Grande Ecole graduates, having a PhD in a field involving digital communications, will have a taste for both theoretical developments and concrete applications. Their research project will be in the field of quantum technologies for transmission systems. In particular, experience with a scientific record in one of the following areas: post-quantum cryptography, quantum cryptography based on remote entanglement of qubits, quantum information theory, quantum detection theory, quantum error-correcting coding theory, quantum signal processing, quantum machine learning, would be appreciated. Potential applications will belong to the primary research areas of IMT and IP Paris, such as Artificial Intelligence, Health or the Environment.

The future colleague will teach signal processing, digital communications, statistics and probability for the school's various teaching programmes. He or she will be involved in supervising student projects and doctoral theses. He or she will be responsible for teaching M2-level courses in his or her area of expertise.

The future colleague will be involved in responding to national and European calls for projects, as well as setting up academic and industrial collaborations. He/she will be part of the "Information, Communication and Electronics" department at IP Paris, and will thus benefit from a rich research environment at Paris Saclay with the Quantum-Saclay center, which is a joint project between IP Paris and Université Paris Saclay, the INRIA Saclay center and joint research teams (including the QURIOSITY team with Telecom Paris) and the physics department of IP Paris (including CPHT lab).
