The Russian Quantum Center (www.rqc.ru) opens a position of a group leader in the domain of Coherent Microoptics and Microwave Photonics. The candidates are expected to have a long standing experience of working in experiments in this domain and in supervising students and young researchers.
The selected fellow will become a member of the scientific council of the Center, which is located in the Skolkovo Innovation Center, Moscow region. It is a non-governmental research institution focused on fundamental and applied aspects of quantum technologies: quantum information processing, quantum sensing and metrology. The Center is located at a lively campus, where researchers are intellectually engaged both inside and outside the offices. The Center boasts a number of top-ranked groups and is an institution at which interdisciplinary research is strongly embraced.
Ideal candidates, in addition to expertise in their direct field, should have a background in quantum optics and, at a minimum, an appreciation of quantum information science. An ability to work well with others is a must. Candidates with a demonstrated record of creativity and independent thought are preferred. The position is expected to begin in 2020, and there is flexibility regarding the start date.
